TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – We woke up to the chilliest temperatures we’ve seen since early April when we hit 49° in Tampa, tonight won’t be quite that chilly, but it will be close. Temperatures are diving down into the low 50s overnight. Expect clear skies and temperatures getting down to 52° in Tampa.

We will see temperatures back in the 40s in our northern counties and in some of our inland locations early Friday morning. Along the coast and in our southern counties, temperatures will sink down into the low to mid 50s.

After a chilly start on Christmas Eve at 52°, expect sunny skies and a cool morning. By the afternoon, temperatures will warm into the mild low 70s, eventually topping out in the mid 70s. The evening will be chilly and clear, as temperatures sink back down into the mid 50s for Christmas morning.

On Christmas Day we will warm up nicely under sunny skies. Humidity will be low and temperatures will make it into the upper 70s for the afternoon hours. Expect another cool down Christmas night, but temperatures will linger in the 60s until midnight.

After a sunny and crisp Christmas, Sunday looks equally as lovely. We will wake up in the low 60s and warm up into the upper 70s under partly cloudy skies. The humidity begins to increase slowly across our area on Monday. Expect warmer temperatures next week, waking up in the mid to low 60s and warming up into the low 80s during the afternoon. Expect partly cloudy skies and no good chances for showers. We may be fog prone in the mornings by the middle to end of next week.
