Make sure you’re ready for record heat this summer
Get ready for a hot one. NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center has let us all know this summer is likely to be hotter than average in almost every part of the U.S. Its summer forecast, which covers June, July and August, indicates that temperatures will soar especially high in the west, where Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and parts of Colorado have a 60% to 70% chance of seeing higher-than-average temperatures over the next three months. But almost nowhere is safe — the only places not forecast to see potentially record-breaking heat are the Dakotas and some slivers of Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska.
Before these temperatures arrive, get ready by heading to Walmart for an air conditioner, which can help you ride out record-breaking heat in comfort.
