SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) – An elderly Sarasota man and his former caregiver have been found safe in another state, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office says.
Detectives say 88-year-old Jefferson W. Brougher was located in good health and in the company of 55-year-old Tomiko Whitaker by the Indianapolis Police Department.
A sheriff’s office spokesperson said detectives are working with officials in Indiana as well as Brougher’s family to bring him back home safe to Sarasota County.
