SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Nokomis man was jailed for maintaining a nuisance dwelling after deputies say they were called to his home nearly 100 times since January.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office says Theodore “Teddy” White resides at 510 Albee Farm Road in Sarasota County, and regularly allows strangers to stay at his home and use drugs.
Law enforcement officials have made multiple drug-related arrests in the 93 times they’ve visited the home, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies say the home is missing several windows and doors. It has no running water or electricity and is infested with bugs and mold.
All four regular tenants residing at the home have extensive criminal records, according to deputies.
News Channel 8 spoke with White’s neighbors, who tell us they regularly call 911, and are deeply concerned about the home.
“It’s a mess and makes the neighborhood look crappy,” says Kevin Rose who lives next door.
Nancy Faulkier, another neighbor, tells us she’s worried for her safety.
“I’m scared to go to bed at night. Fights happening at all hours of the night. I was about at my wit’s end,” she says.
The owner of the home, Drita Hajroja refuses to evict White, claiming she just can’t afford it. She has since abandoned the house, according to the sheriff’s office.
Hajroja must have the place back up to code by June 21, or it will be turned over to the county.
