Two men are wanted after purchasing external hard drives from Target stores, replacing the hardware with Play-Doh, then returning the equipment with receipts.  

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Organized Retail Crime Unit has issued warrants for the arrests of two suspects wanted in fraudulent returns at Target stores located in Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole and Volusia counties.

According to the warrants, between Jan. 16-18, Jose Rivera Jr., 36, of Winter Park, purchased 69 external hard drives from 16 different Target stores.

Rainer Bentulan, 32, of Orlando, returned the hard drives using receipts.

Once the boxes were opened by Target employees, however, they discovered Play-Doh inside the hard drives in place of the hardware.

The total value of the theft is $6,159.

Both Rivera and Bentulan are being charged with organized scheme to defraud and conspiracy to commit organized scheme to defraud.

Both are believed to be in Orange County.

PCSO detectives are working with the Orange County Sheriff’s office and Orlando police to locate and apprehend the men.

Both have criminal history and have spent time in state prison.
