CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) – According to Clearwater police, 29-year-old Kelley Zielinski got into a road rage incident prior to hitting and killing a motorcyclist Saturday morning.
Police say Zielinski drove on to Fort Harrison Avenue and entered Clearwater following the road rage incident, which is when she struck the motorcyclist. At this time is when Stacey Lynne Maurer, the road rage suspect, arrived at the motorcycle crash scene and slapped Zielinski.
Maurer was arrested and charged with battery and DUI.
Police say the two children in Zielinski’s car belonged to her and a friend but were not injured at the time of the crash.

A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Clearwater on Saturday.
Clearwater police responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and Hyundai Accent in the area of South Fort Harrison Avenue and Belleview Boulevard.
The driver of the Accent, 29-year-old Kelley Zielinski, made a left turn to go eastbound on Belleview Boulevard directly in front of the oncoming motorcycle causing a collision. The intersection was closed in all directions for approximately 4 hours.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the hospital. Zielinski failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI manslaughter, she has also been charged with two counts of child neglect. She had two small children in the car at the time of the crash.
Zielinkski appeared before a judge Sunday morning. The judge granted Zielinski a $10,000 bond for the DUI charge and a $5,000 bond for each of the child neglect charges. The judge ordered Zielinski to have no contact with the two children and if she is released she will have to wear a monitor.
