(WFLA) — Florida nature lovers have their eyes glued to their computer screens Monday morning, watching a nest in Fort Myers to witness a pair of baby eagles hatch.

For nearly two months, Harriet and her mate M15, have watched vigilantly over their two eggs, which were laid on Nov. 29 and Dec. 2. Eggs typically hatch 35 to 38 days after they are laid.

A pip, or crack, was seen on one of the eggs on Sunday. It finally hatched on Monday.

The other egg is not yet in the hatching process.

The eagles can be seen on the popular Southwest Florida Eagle Cam, which is managed by the Dick Pritchett Real Estate family farm.
