TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Only halfway through 2019, Florida has seen its fair share of crime, violence and dangerous situation.
After analyzing all 50 states across 52 safety indicators grouped into five different categories, Wallethub put together a list to see how dangerous each state is.
With data sets ranging from assaults per capita to unemployment rate to total loss amounts from climate disasters per capita the new report found Florida to be the 3rd most dangerous state in the country.
Florida nearly had the lowest rate of bullying incidences, the Sunshine State had a high population of uninsured people.
Florida also had a significant amount of DUIs and workplace injuries.
The most recent report available from the Bureau of Labor Statistics report said 299 fatalities with 107 fatal work injuries coming from transportation incidents and 62 fatalities coming from falls, slips, or trips.
