ST PETERSBURG (WFLA) – Cat lovers are enjoying a new place in St. Petersburg to hang out with some furry friends.

Sunshine Kitty Catfe is a relaxed, home-like environment where you’re able to interact with the free-roaming kitties who live there until they get adopted.

Daytime’s Danny New takes us on a trip to Sunshine Kitty Catfe, where you can adopt a cat while sipping on an iced tea. (Watch video above) Yes, you really can take them home.

The Catfe opened during the pandemic and are purring along.

Sunshine Kitty Catfe is located on 1st Avenue South in St. Peter, and works in conjunction with Friends of Strays Animal Shelter. You make a reservation to visit.
