I’m so excited to be at WFLA. Tampa Bay is paradise to me, and I can’t imagine living or working anywhere else. I’ve had TV jobs all over the country: New Orleans, Las Vegas, Detroit. But, for the first time, I finally feel like I’m home. If I’m not at work, you’ll find me at the beach with a huge smile on my face. My flip flop collection is impressive, and I’ve got a beach towel in every color! And yes, there’s ALWAYS sand in my car. We live in such a gorgeous place, so why not have fun & enjoy life?!? If you see me, come say hello, introduce yourself & let’s take a selfie!

My job is busy, crazy and intense. The days are long and jam-packed, and you know what? I’m in love with it! I wouldn’t have it any other way. Every boss I’ve ever had has told me the same thing: We love your passion and energy for your job. There’s nothing like being a part of the creative process. I knew when I was at LSU that I wanted to be a part of this television adventure! I’ve covered stories all over the world including Princess Diana’s death in London and Paris, poverty in South Africa, war in the Middle East, hurricanes in Central America, tourism in Asia & drug trafficking in Mexico.

And, If you’ve watched my reporting in Tampa Bay, you’ll most likely see me in my favorite spot: the courthouse! (I thought about going to law school at one point!) I’ve covered trials all over the country & right here at home including Casey Anthony, George Zimmerman, Dontae Morris, Jack Kevorkian and the 2nd trial for OJ Simpson. I’ve also been a political corespondent and have gone on the campaign trail with Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Vice President Al Gore, plus done profiles on First Lady Laura Bush & Theresa Heinz Kerry.

But it’s here at home where I find the most happiness! The one part of my work that brings me intense joy is meeting people every day. And, in this age of social media, we are all connected. You know, Maya Angelou once said,

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

And, I always keep that in mind. People want to feel respected and comfortable. That is my goal in every story! I want to make people feel at ease. My job is to tell our viewers a good story, to let them know what’s happening in our community. And, it’s my honor and joy to do that at WFLA. Thank you for allowing me into your homes each day! I love my job and my city. Life is a gift, that’s why they call it the present! Don’t forget to say hello! I’ll be out and about in Tampa Bay proud to be on your side.
