I joined Storm Team 8 in June of 2013 as the weekend evening meteorologist. When the opportunity came to move back to Florida I could not have been more excited!

You can now watch me Monday through Friday at 4pm on Channel 8 and at 8pm on Great 38.

After working for KTXS in Abilene, Texas for 3 years I was really thrilled to join Storm Team 8 in Tampa. The quickly changing and wild weather in West Texas was excellent experience for covering severe storms. I will never forget the Easter Sunday where Softball size hail devastated the city and we were on-air for 8 hours straight. When I wasn’t worrying about severe weather there I was able to study and earn the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) Designation.

My journey to becoming a meteorologist started at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., where I majored in both Meteorology and Broadcast Journalism. After studying weather in Miami, it’s exciting that I now get to track more tropical weather during Hurricane Season.

I have two English Bulldogs Annie and Lolli at home and have fallen in love with the breed! I help to run the Florida English Bulldog Rescue group here in Tampa, which in itself can be a full time job! I was a Tridelt in college and since then have been a passionate supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and have helped to organize some of their events here in the Tampa Bay area. I am also a member of the American Meteorological Society.

I am a HUGE college football fan and can be caught cheering on my CANES all season long. After living in Tampa with my fiancee Russ for awhile we are also become quite fond of cheering on and attending the BUCS too!
I live in South Tampa now, but am a Chicagoland native. My Dad grew up in Seminole though so I remember spending many summer vacations as a kid at Treasure Island and Clearwater Beach. In fact my Dad is now retired and back living in Treasure Island! My grandmother Dottie and Aunt Jamie still reside in Seminole as well, so I am thrilled to be closer to all of them and of course the beach!
