Rebecca joined the Max Defender 8 team in April 2021 after spending 15 years at WJXT in Jacksonville. She is thrilled to be a part of the team and loves the Tampa area.

When she’s not forecasting the weather, Rebecca is usually fishing with her husband, an avid fishing captain. They love to travel, especially to fishing hotspots like Costa Rica and Cabo San Lucas. They take turns spoiling their rescue pup Baxter.

Rebecca is a proud graduate of Jacksonville University and Mississippi State. Originally from Crescent, Georgia – she grew up in Coastal Georgia and her family still lives there.

Rebecca dabbles in photography and is a wanna-be foodie/chef. Both of those result in lots of photos on her Facebook and Instagram pages, which are jam-packed with sunsets, fishing pictures, and delicious food.

She is most excited about the warmer temperatures Tampa offers and was happy to not pack her heavy winter coat when moving.
