Olivia Steen joined the WFLA news team in December 2020 as a reporter/mmj. This is her second time covering stories in the beautiful Sunshine state.

Olivia entered the new industry as a photojournalist back in 2015 at WTXL in Tallahassee. Her drive and determination quickly elevated her to an on-air role. Since then, she’s reported in Huntsville, Alabama (WHNT) and Greensboro, North Carolina (WGHP).

Although she’s adopted Florida as her second home, Olivia is from Marietta, Georgia. She attended Valdosta State University, where she majored in Mass Media in 2014.

Olivia is also a very proud member of THE Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, as well as the National Association of Black Journalists.

When Olivia isn’t chasing down the story of the day, she likes to explore the outdoors, shop and binge watch her favorite Netflix shows. She also likes to connect with the community!
