Fists, feet and even a weapon used by police officers.
They are all part of a violent road rage incident that has two people in jail.
It was all caught on camera.
Manatee County deputies learned about the road rage incident after another driver posted a video on Facebook.
“It’s about to go down! Oh ****,” exclaimed a man in a car who came upon the fight and recorded it on his cell phone and made the post.
It happened in the eastbound lanes of West Cortez, at 9th Street.
At the intersection, Manatee deputies identify Willie Edwards walking up to the passenger side of a Hyundai to beat on Erica James.
His weapon of choice, an “asp,” a long-handled stick with a blunt end, sometimes carried by cops.
Driver Rose Alvarez tries to intervene, but deputies say Marquavia Jenkins stops her.
Soon, it was on, with all four throwing punches, kicking and rolling to the road.
A bystander tries to stop it.
Deputies believe an ongoing dispute led up to the mid-road melee.
Shoppers at a nearby plaza took a look at the road rage video.
“I just can’t imagine someone getting out of their car to start an altercation like that,” said Rhonda McClendon.
“It’s horrendous. Absolutely horrendous. It’s really a shame. That’s heartbreaking,” said Michelle Brantley.
“That’s pretty wild. I don’t remember seeing anybody do that to somebody,” said Nicole Kinsey.
Watching the foursome go at it is a jaw dropper.
“Being my size, I probably wouldn’t get up out of the car ’cause I probably would get hurt more,” said Jennifer Gustin.
The pair blamed for the very public road rage fight are charged with aggravated battery and criminal mischief.
