PLANT CITY, Fla. (WFLA) – A Hillsborough County Fire Rescue lieutenant was arrested for possession of cannabis oil on Monday.

According to the sheriff’s office, Tavoris Allen was arrested around 3:15 p.m. for having marijuana and trying to convert it to cannabis oil.

Detectives were called to Fire Rescue station #26 in Plant City after someone discovered a botanical extractor device operating in the station.

Detectives found the machine contained liquid and two marijuana plants that were being converted into homemade cannabis oil.

Allen admitted that the machine and marijuana belonged to him.

He was released from the Hillsborough County Jail early Tuesday morning. He did not respond to News Channel 8 when asked for a comment.
