ORLANDO, Fla. – The final Pulse nightclub massacre survivor has left Orlando Regional Medical Center. The center is part of Orlando Health.
The victim is returning home after almost three months in the hospital.
The name of that patient is not being released.
A total of 35 people were treated at Orlando Health after the attack.
Orlando Health, which treated most of the survivors of the June 12 attack, said it would seek payment from other resources. These resources include state and federal funds, private insurance, disability insurance, Florida’s crime victim compensation program, funding sources established for individual victims, and means-tested programs like Medicaid, as well as charity care provided by Orlando Health.
Even with these multiple funding sources, Orlando Health’s total un-reimbursed costs could exceed $5 million.
