Brittany Muller

I am so thrilled to call Tampa and WFLA home! I joined the 8 On Your Side team in November 2021 as a morning reporter.

I came from WJXT in Jacksonville where I was a general assignment reporter and the southeast Georgia beat reporter. From hurricanes and criminal court cases to the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery and breaking news, I have covered a wide variety of important stories with local impact to the northeast Florida and southeast Georgia communities.

I started my broadcasting career at WKBW in Buffalo, N.Y., where I covered stories on the sex abuse scandal within the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo. I am thrilled to be able to say I lived in the City of Good Neighbors during my life! It was also neat having Niagara Falls right in my backyard!

I’m a proud graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Communications where I received a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast and Digital Journalism. Go Orange! Did you know — Syracuse is one of the snowiest cities in the U.S.? So you can say I’m so glad to be back in the Sunshine State! While I was a student, I interned at WTVJ (NBC6) in Miami and NBC Sports during the Rio Olympics.

I grew up in Fort Lauderdale, so I am a Florida girl at heart. I’m also happy to have family nearby in Clearwater who are avid News Channel 8 viewers! When I am not covering the news, I love to be by the water or trying out a new restaurant!

If you would like to send a news tip or say hello you can find me on social media @WFLABrittany on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You can also send me an email at bmuller@wfla.com.
