TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Tampa police have made an arrest in a murder that happened back in April.

A man was found dead in his Oklahoma Avenue home on April 23. Police say a neighbor found the victim’s body when he went to check on him.

During the investigation, police identified 52-year-old Kenneth Bell as a “handyman” who had been working on the victim’s home for several months. After the victim moved back into his home, police say Bell was no longer “gainfully employed.”

According to an arrest report, Bell murdered the victim on April 22. The report says the victim as found with several stab wounds.

Police say he then used the victim’s credit card to buy an air mattress, sheets and a pack of soda at Walmart. The arrest report says he also tried to get cash back but was declined.

Bell is accused of using the credit card again the next day. He was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and robbery.
